A Great Left Hook

She's probably gonna kill me for telling you this, but the GF has a great left hook!  Last night she had a really bad dream and came flying over to my side of the bed and punched me in the shoulder!  She felt really bad, but I'm thinking it might help my throwing arm!  I'll let you know after my softball games on Sunday!  Anywho, she said she really knocked the guy out in her dream, so "up yours bad dream guy!"  What's ironic is that I had just punched a window out in my dream because some guy pissed me off because he was being mean to the GF...maybe he walked into her dream and she finished him off!

We're going to a big Lesbian Festival tonight!  Actually it's the Melissa Etheridge concert, but same thing, right?  I'm so so so excited!  She's got great music and is so inspirational, but it's also at the casino, so maybe we'll make a little money in the process!  Maybe I'll wear a mullet!  Maybe I'll wear a flannel shirt!  Maybe I'll tuck in my flannel shirt!  Haha...I love lesbians!

Rumor has it Terry Francona, the manager of the Red Sox is getting fired.  A move directly related to the epic collapse of America's team!  I'm not sure that's a smart move, but some team is gonna be very luckily if they pick him up!  That's all I'm gonna say about that.  Playoffs start tonight...Go Tigers...rip up the Yanks!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  See you Monday!

What The @*$%?

Holy Crap!  If anyone is anyone, then you watched baseball last night...or have heard about it from someone!  What a frickin crazy crazy crazy night of baseball.  Let's start off with the fact that the Dodgers almost lost another for sure win, by allowing 5 runs to score in the bottom of the 9th inning...luckily they had 7, so they won.  I'm not a huge fan of Troncoso, so I'll blame him.  Sad that it was the last game, but there's still a full month of baseball left!  The Sox and Braves sunk to the most ultimate low of all lows...both had the wild card slot in hand and last night they both offered it up to the Cards and Rays (not respectively).  Regardless, of the outcome we are now going for the D-Backs and the Rays, so the Upton brothers can play eachother in the World Series.  I'm also kind of rooting for the Brewers!

I'm a hot mess...not too too messy, but sort of scattered.  I really REALLY need to get into shape because I've got this big race looming in the near future and I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks!  I was sick for just over a week, but now I'm lacking the moto!  I need a purpose!  I need a reason to be friends with the treadmill (and the pavement) again!  I am trying to make the adjustment in my mind that I'm gonna stay this size forever.  I love food and beer, so I figure if I work out enough, it'll all equal itself out and I'll remain this size, which, by the way, is the biggest I've ever been in my life.  I don't have anything against larger people, but if I could have my high school body back again, I'd do her!!  I actually prefer the bigger ladies...you know who you are!  They just feel so good when I hug them.  Am I becoming offensive yet?  Maybe I should stop...I'm not trying to offend anyone.  All I'm saying is that although sometimes I wish I were 120 pounds, I'll never be, and I love me a big woman!  End of story.

There's a slight nervousness in the pit of my stomach.  Can't explain now, but maybe Monday I can let you know if it pans out.

I'll Check You For Ticks!

Actually I won't!  Last night the GF was cutting clumps of dirt out from between one of the dogs paw pads and found that she was covered with ticks.  Not completely covered, but they were everywhere.  I didn't pull any out, but I sat and watched!  Poor doggies!

So, the new season of tv has begun and we have about 4 shows recording every night.  Every free moment we have right now goes to watching one of those shows.  Some new shows are pretty darn funny or intense.  Others that we were excited for are just sort of so-so, one of those being Charlie's Angels.  Now, I know it's a remake with 3 really hot chicks, but they've had some tough "acting" moments, like fake crying and trouble with delivery (very non-believable).  Hopefully they'll get it down or the show might be canceled, which happens to a lot of shows I start watching.  I have yet to see the premieres of all the new shows so far, but when I do, I'll give my recommendations!

Balloon Fiesta starts this weekend.  I love seeing the balloons in the sky every morning, but I'm not sure the dogs are used to them yet.  Every time one flies/soars/drifts over the house the dogs go nuts.  They don't like the flame being pumped into the balloon...too loud I guess!  It'll be a nice alarm system all next week!

Dodgers lost a for sure win last night!  Pretty amazing come back, but sucky loss for my boys!  Last game is tonight!  Go Dodgers!  Go Sox!  And unfortunately, Go Stupid Poopie Yankees...I will always and forever hate you, but I really need you to win tonight!  There, I said it, but I'll never say it again!  (Unless of course the Sox back themselves into a corner again!)

Rodger Dodger

So the Dodgers are becoming one of my favorite teams.  Pretty good timing too, since the Red Sox seem to be experiencing something nobody can explain!  The Dodgers won last night and I'm ever so delighted!  Here's why:  I'm a huge Albuquerque Isotopes fan, so watching Dodger games these days is like watching the Isotopes play.  All of my favorite players were called up this year and even though the Topes season has been over for a month, we've been able to watch our guys in the big leagues.  Unfortunately for us (but luckily for them), half of them will stay in the majors next year and we may never see them again.  Otherwise, we'll make new favorites next year!  Only 2 more games to see them play because unfortunately they didn't make the playoffs this year.

I really hate being sick.  First off, I sneeze, and cough, and sniffle for about a week and a half.  Second, I can't really work out because of the breathing problems.  And third, I always get the GF sick and I feel so bad.  I'm trying to rid myself of this cold, but it's hard.  I'm so tired and feel like it doesn't want to leave my body.  I also don't have much energy.  So, I lack motivation at work and I'd rather sleep than workout over lunch (I'll let you know how that turns out).

Maybe it's time for a small change...we'll see!

Amarillo by Morning

Spent the weekend in Amarillo with the in-laws!  Not a bad trip except the Gf got sick and I twisted my ankle.  I guess I should say "tweaked" my ankle, cause it's not overly swollen and I can still walk normal, just in certain positions it hurts.  I got to ride the dirt bikes.  I'm pretty sure I'll have to relearn every time I do it, but it's still fun.  I love the Waffle House!

At work this morning keeping my fingers crossed.  For a few reasons not to be mentioned here!  I'm exhausted.  I think I slept ok, but trying to get over this cold, and the small time difference from the weekend, and the fact that I'd rather be sleeping right now, I feel like I didn't sleep at all!

Got a busy day.  Have I mentioned I don't wanna be here?

Another Day In Paradise!

Drones!  Paper pushers!  Telephone robots!  Really that's all it comes down to.  Even the CEO becomes a pencil sharpener!  Barking commands that eventually die out at the end of the hallway.  If you heard it, then you mindlessly do the task, if you don't hear it, you wait cause it'll be repeated.  And repeated.  And repeated.  We're stuck in this everlasting circle of demands and process.  I look over the edge quite often, hoping that I'll see someone out there to catch me if I jump.  One foot's already out the door...there's someone taking their time trying to reach me...I hope it's not too late...I'll wait, because I have nothing but time, but where are they?  Idle time is waiting time!  I pass the time thinking back over time trying to remember how I got here and where I'm going.  Far, that's where...far!  They all say you gotta start somewhere, but where does it start?  I'll let you know when I figure it out, in time!

Come One, Come All

Hey!  Who's out there?  It's been eons since I've written, so I was wondering who's still reading?

Life's grand!  I love my family!

Today's lesson:  Take the long way when you're expected back at work!
